Nine Panthers Earn Athlon Preseason Honors
Nine members of Georgia State were named to the Athlon Sports Pre-Season All-Sun Belt Team, Athlon sports announced on Tuesday afternoon. Redshirt senior Gavin Pringle led the Panthers after earning All-Sun Belt first-team defense honors for the 2024 Athlon Sports Pre-Season All-Conference polls. After his first season as a Panther, Pringle was named to the All-Sun Belt third team in 2023 after leading the team and tying the Sun Belt lead with four interceptions, one behind the GSU season record.

Sun Belt Football 2024 Predictions
Change is the biggest storyline for most college football conferences in the 2024 season, but that's not the case in the Sun Belt. The 14-team league will maintain divisions and the same membership as it had in '23. Although the Sun Belt never made a New Year's Six bowl or earned a playoff spot in the four-team format, the recent conference changes could put this league as the best in the Group of 5 ranks.
