While we may do what we can to stay active and on our feet throughout the day, 1 in 4 Americans are sedentary for more than 8 hours each day. A recent study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology suggests that spending more than 10.6 hours a day sitting, reclining or lying down can significantly increase your risk of heart failure and cardiovascular death—even among people
who exercise regularly.
